The MOM factor

By Kristen Kindred
I talk to and train many moms.. great moms that put their kids first!  Thats the right way to do it of course, we are busy taking care of our children, driving them here and there, feeding them, doing homework, baths etc.. God gave us the most important job to be there for our children.. But we are also to live by example.  Am I always the best example, No!  I struggle daily trying to be the best mom to my boys and Im so far from perfect but I try.. One thing I try to teach my boys is to be healthy, play sports eat well, do good in school..

Metabolic Typing Diet, What is it?

By Andrea King
As a holistic certified San Diego fitness trainer I have a firm believe that not all bodies are created equal. As with the outside of our bodies differing slightly from one person to the next so does the inside of our bodies. As such, we cannot all thrive of the same type of diet.

Ten Tips for Sports Parents

By Emily Torres
1. Focus on your children's effort rather than the outcome of a competition. Teach children that success means achieving their personal goals rather than winning a contest. 2. Help your children to set realistic goals that are measurable and attainable. Goals that are too vague or difficult lead to a high dropout rate. 3. Make sure your children know that whether they win or lose, whether they play a lot or a little, you love them unconditionally. Give just as much praise for a loss as you do for a win. Focus on their improved effort. 4. Show respect for your children's coaching staff.
