Keep your eye on the prize

By Michelle Gillis-Saltzman
"Why did I get into the fitness industry?"Have you ever asked yourself that question? I think for most of us it wasn't dreams or expectations of fame, fortune, or the ability to coast in a cushy job for a few years. Most fitness pros I talk with say roughly the same thing: they want to inspire and help people get more physically active and healthier.

Circle of Power

By Kristen Kindred
I have some clients that started on a nutrition plan to jump start their weight loss.  They started together and have been doing great!  I called this post "Circle of Power" because My friend/client used this term when she was talking about how we can affect each other to do our best, achieve our goals and motivate and inspire each other.. She was saying that I inspired her to start this nutrition plan, and she then inspired her friend to keep going when she was getting discouraged.  She said, we were a "Circle of Power!"  Thanks so true..

I am a new person

By Denise Ricker
I didn't want to get up at 4:30 this morning, so used to sleeping in for a couple of weeks, but the 5 miles was what I needed and I have felt great all day.  Taking the summer off from teaching commitments as the kidneys made me miss a couple of weeks and now the surgery coming up in mid July and vacation in August, just going to wait until the fall schedule comes out in September.

It looks like a great idea at first, but it has some flaws....
