Embracing our Changes
Anaheim, Calif.-Embracing the physical changes that come with age can be a struggle for women in conventional weight-loss programs. However, a new program educates women about the physiology of aging and shares strategies to optimize diet and exercise accordingly, said an expert today at the American College of Sports Medicine's 15th-annual Health and Fitness Summit &Exposition. " Body fat shifts as women age", said Liz Applegate, Ph.D.,FACSM. " In a women's 20's and 30's , most fat is concentrated in the hips and thighs.
I might have gone a little Tabata crazy this last week! But I enjoyed ever 20 seconds of it! Here is my favorite Tabata Circuit that we did this week in Bootcamp class.

3.08 Mile Steady Pace Run
Levoxyl, 10 Smiths Animal crackers, 4 oz water, Warm up
6:46-7:18: 3.08 Miles, 32:53 minutes
Up/Down .5 mile, .7 mile soccer field x3, Down/Up .5 mile
7:25: Walking Cooldown
7:30: Water

For 60 Days we are going to be going strong, sweating it out and hopefully getting outdoors for some much needed fresh air and some new challenges.

I'm in line at the pharmacy at CVS, there is a mom and daughter standing in front of me.The mom says, "Honey, stay here, I'm going to check my blood pressure".I'm thinking, oh good, a mom who is concerned about herself, and her health.That thought was totally destroyed when I then heard the mom say "Oh that's not bad, it's only 136 over 84, great! Now we can go to Taco Bell for the $5 meal!
