Old school aerobics classes taught us that you do a warm-up and then do static stretching before the actual aerobic activity. However, studies show that stretching (holding a stretch for 30 seconds or longer) impairs aerobic performance. Best to make your warm-up longer and stretch at the end of your exercise session when the muscles are warm and less likely to be injured....
Everybody wants to have flat, sexy abdominals and we all try so hard to attain them! Here is some “food for thought” (excuse the pun :o)MYTH NUMBER 1Getting great looking abs requires expensive gym equipment: Truth is: You already have all the tools necessary to succeed! Eating clean, having a complete fitness routine (like cardio, weight training, etc) and of course you have to do some Ab work too
One weekend a month I am offering 60 minute massages at a rate of $45
per session. I realize that times are hard which is putting stress on
everyone physically, financially, & emotionally which is exactly why
it's time to treat yourself to an hour of therapeutic massage.

I have to have a planner to schedule my classes that I teach as some don't meet on a regular basis. Just like a doctors appointment or a lunch date, schedule a minimum of 30 minutes each day to exercise, from walking around during lunch hour or doing that fitness class after work that you are meaning to try out but haven't-well today is your day to write it down and go! You will feel better about yourself afterwards....
I have become quite adapted to most excuses as to why people don't want to workout or partake in some type of physical activity. "There is just not enough time in the day," "My children won't allow it" "I can't afford it" "I just don't have the motivation" are all excuses that I have found ways to remedy. One of the things that I pride myself in doing while building my fitness brand is taking the "burden" out of healthy living.

Let's strengthen the muscles around your hips and back to combat back pain! When muscles that support your posture aren't strong enough, other muscles will take over. This can cause tightness and pain when moving. And if those muscles have to do double-duty for long enough, they'll start to pull your joints out of alignment and cause pain ALL the time. Instead of heading straight for the pain relievers, get down on the floor for these exercises!
