(1/13) Remember the value of a healthy body...4 keys

By angela coogle

REMEMBER THE VALUE OF A HEALTHY BODY...4 KEYS

To have or KEEP a healthy body…

we must first remember…the value of our physical bodies…

Joseph Pilates stated that,

“ in our race for material progress and perfection,  we have

“ totally overlooked the most complex and marvelous of all creations- Man himself!”

Next,  we must remember how!

Memory helps us to KEEP a plan in our heart so that we can consistently seek after and accomplish our  goals.

"We remember what we understand;

we understand only what we pay attention to;

we pay attention to what we want." - Edward Bolles

The 4 Keys to Remembering

1         Choose to remember. Be interested. Pay attention. When people are interested and want to learn, they learn and remember more effectively.

DESIRE…GOoD

2.       Visualize or picture in your mind what you wish to remember. For each major concept that you want to remember, create a mental picture and then look at it carefully for a few seconds.

THINK… on the BEAUTIFUL

3.       Relate the ideas and information you wish to remember to each other and to ideas and information you already know. When you relate information to other information, you create a chain of memories which lead to one another.

BUILD… a STRAIGHT path

4.        Repeat what you wish to learn until you overlearn it. Say it in your own words.

SHARE… LIGHT

WHO AM I: I am a wife and mom of 4 kids. Prior to having children, I graduated from OSU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. WHY AM I PASSIONATE ABOUT PILATES: I had a heart full of desire to be the best Christian, wife, mom, daughter, sister, ect... I could be, but after having 4 children within 5 years, I started to suffer from chronic pain, fatigue, and general sense of physcial weakness. My heart was determined but my flesh felt very weak. On my road to recovery, I tried various forms of exercise, but found the Pilates Method to be different. I found it was not just another "exercise class", but a holistic method that taught me how to breathe effectively, connect my core to my movements, and grow stronger and more flexible. Pilates has been part of my path to healing. It is my hope that Pilates can help others heal too, so they can fulfill all God's purposes for their lives with more grace and ease.
