Hey yall! I'm Ashley Bisek and very excited to start leaving messages on here. With this first entry, I'm want to congratulate my sister, Amanda, and client, Kaycee, on completion of The INCLINE!!!!!!! For Colorado Springs Natives, you understand the accomplishment. But for those of you who don't quite understand, let me describe the trail.
The Manitou Springs Incline was originally a cable car that took tourists up the side of Rocky Mountain until it was closed in 1990. Since the closing, the rails were removed but the wooden ties remain to prevent erosion of the hill. This makes for one steep trail at approximately a 40% grade and one mile up. Sound Fun yet?!
I myself did not want anything to do with it when my husband and I first moved to Colorado Springs in 2010. But I broke down and gave it a go. Now, I notice more and more clients setting the INCLINE as a summer target. Even when my family comes into town from TX, they can't help but notice the Incline Path up against the Rocky Mountains(you can see it from almost any point in town). It is a popular trail testing not only endurance but character and will.
So to Amanda and Kaycee, AMAZING JOB! I'm proud of both of you! Next time it will be better ;)
