The "all or nothing" concept fails us time and time again. Start small, increase your changes every 1-2 weeks! Not only will you see and feel the results but you will feel accomplished when you tackle those goals!!! Train hard today!
No...there's no easy pill, drop 10 tea, or magic potion. It takes hard work and dedication but the reward is priceless! Start by prepping your food for the week and adding your workouts to your calendar. This will avoid the feeling of defeat when you get hungry and can't decide what to eat or when you debate on how you will fit a workout into your busy life. Plan ahead and make the decisions easy!
Have you hit a plateau? Time to change up the routine. Increase the reps, sets, weight, add a compound set/superset, add some plyo, add pyramids and dropsets, add time under tension.....there are a 100+ ways to do it, just get it done!!! Having control has a huge impact on your diet and nutrition. Ensure that you are planning your meals instead of eating on a whim. Pick a day, like Sunday, to prep your food for the week. Pre-cut all veggies and put them into storage containers, making food choices just a little easier. Lastly, avoid those triggers that influence bad eating habits. Why have the junk food in your pantry taunting you, unnecessary torture. Write down some small, attainable goals and stick with them for a week at a time! Good luck and stay healthy!!!

I've finally made it back to the great state of Texas after nearly 15 years! I'm excited to be the in Copperas Cove/Killeen/Harker Heights area and to bring my fitness experience to light with the local residents here. I'm looking forward to kicking off an outdoor boot camp at local park and recreation areas and getting some one on one training with those who seek a little more personal attention. We are 4 weeks into 2012 and it's usually by this time of the new year that people have lost their drive on fitness goals. Hopefully you are not one of those but if you are, seek some motivation and support! Most people can't keep up with it on their own. Find a workout buddy with similar goals or seek a Personal Trainer that will stick by your side until you reach your goal.
