I almost didn't run Sunday- because of my own barrier- Fear.
Fear of not being prepared, fear of not finishing the race, fear of failure. But I pushed through that inner dialogue and found the core of me that says "Why not me?" and "You can do it!"
Barriers- they are very personal. For example, it may seem on the surface that your barrier is lack of time. Dig deeper; we often have time for Facebook and episodes of CSI, but can't find time to fit in a quick workout? There is something else holding you back.
Ask yourself the question "What is REALLY holding me back? The answer may surprise you.
This not only applies to health and fitness, but any leap we are looking to take.
I told my daughter last week that she can achieve anything she puts her mind to. She had the nerve to give me my own pep talk Sunday morning and it worked!
