I love Pilates, plain and simple. I love to be active to the best of my ability and share that with others. I do Pilates daily, along with weight training, walking, swimming, and boxing in my weekly workout routine combined with good nutrition. I enjoy educating, teaching and talking about all types of fitness, health and nutrition. I have endured a total of 6 foot surgeries since 1998 - 2011 due to a arthritic big toe joint (runs in the family). My final and last surgery was in 2011, I had it fused, was laid up for 1 year and 6 months. - How did I find out about Pilates? In 2005, I read about Pilates in Shape Magazine, bought some DVD's on Mat Pilates and was hooked. My discovery of Pilates enabled me to feel and look my best after an active life of running, kickboxing, and other athletics that wreaked havoc on my foot. A number of years prior, I contemplated becoming a personal trainer but was ensconced in the business world and couldn’t quite make the change. As the corporate climate reconfigured itself in 2009, the change was made and granted me the opportunity to pursue my true ultimate passion. My a-ha moment had surfaced when I was training on the reformer. Mass quantities of research led me to realize that STOTT Pilates was the perfect fit. Determination coupled with 2 years of hard work I earned my STOTT Certification that would propel me into the career of my passion and for life. Knowing how I benefited so greatly from the practice of Pilates, it is with genuine enthusiasm that I greet clients and I thrive on seeing them improve, change, feel better and move better. I always find a new challenges and modifications with Pilates exercises and pass it on to my clients and friends, because Pilates never gets old it's life changing and anyone and "every body" type can do Pilates. Pilates is a life changing experience and Pilates is for life.
