Here we are again at the beginning of a New Year. What will you do to make this year count? I challenge you to join us at Personal Best “whole life warehouse” and commit to a holistic approach towards your health and wellness.
The fitness world understands comprehensive training; incorporating various techniques in order to maximize results. However, getting fit requires more than cardio workouts, strength or flexibility training. We also understand that optimizing results requires incorporating wellness into the equation. A “holistic” approach to health and fitness requires the influence of proper nutrition, preventive medicine, family and community support, mental and spiritual development.
So how do you start this New Year? Declare a goal for yourself; just one! Mine is to add 30 minutes of meditation each night. I’m great at meditating every morning, its part of my morning ritual. However, at the end of a long day, I’m simply too tired to take the time.
So how can I change that?
First of all, I declare my goal- I share it with my family. Then, I find an accountability partner to help keep me on track (community). Since fatigue deters me from my nightly meditation, the solution is to maintain more energy at day’s end.
How do I do that?
I commit to taking fewer appointments and working smarter. I commit to creating a work plan that will increase my current revenues without decreasing my energy. I commit to eating regularly throughout the day. I commit to holding peace and calmness in my heart and mind knowing that the universe will provide exactly what I need at the moment.
A little tweak in my daily activities will create enough space for me to come home and breath, appreciate the limitless potential of my life and help others reach their Personal Best! Namaste!
