Virtual Skogg for Kettlebell Training and Bodyweight Training

By CrossCore

Thanks to Michael Skogg of www.virtualskogg.com for sending this picture of him and his crew up in Portland, OR putting the CrossCore180® through its paces.

WELCOME TO VIRTUAL SKOGG
Where you as a member can attend any class you'd like from around the world.

You will get to experience the SKOGG Method, used everyday by hundreds of Portland residents, without having to leave the comforts of your own home, office, training room, gym or wherever you find yourself with a need to sweat.

At the SKOGG Gym, we run a rotation, changing from day to day, consisting of conditioning, strengthening and power development. We do this to avoid over training and injury, and a continued increase in performance. When setting up your own workout schedule, please follow this suggestion.

At SKOGG, we're known for our kettlebell expertise, but that's not to say our fitness scope is limited to one tool in our tool box. We use many different functional applications, and will be introducing them as we go. Each workout that requires additional equipment wil be labeled as such.

EXERCISES
A catalog of exercises are available for you to watch, with detailed instruction, to ensure your technique is priority. We care less about how much you move, and more about how you move it.

LENGTH OF WORKOUTS
The workouts run in length from 24 minutes to over an hour, without having to repeat the same workout in a 90 day period.

TECHNIQUE
An instructional workout is in place to teach you the 6 basic fundamental movements. You must view this, work along, and test at the end to advanced to Level 2.

DVD
The SKOGG System 5 DVD set is recommended as another resource for technique and mastering the 6 basic moves.

SIZE / TIME / TEMPO
We employ a simple equation called Size/Time/Tempo. Size of kettlebell, Time (length) of the workout, Tempo (pace or cadence) of your rep count. Making adjustments to these variables is an easy way to change the outcome of the workout. You will hear this mentioned often.

BELL SIZE
A good set of kettlebells are 8kg, 12kg, and 16kg. In SKOGG Gym we call them #1, #2 and #3, and you will hear me refer to them this way in the videos. It's always a good idea to own pairs for double movements.

LEVELING
Virtual SKOGG has a level system starting at Level 1 and progressing to Level 4.

TESTING
A snatch test is the standard exercise used to advance from level to level.

MUSIC
Our music volume is low, allowing you the option to listen to your own.

60 DAY CHALLENGE
We offer a full health and fitness program called the 60 Day Challenge. This two month nutrition/workout program has a high success rate with real results, supported by hundreds of testimonials.

This program works for me, my members, and all those who have purchased my DVD, and I'm certain it will work for you. Join me on your journey to get fit and healthy, and know that working out with the SKOGG Gym is not only effective, it's fun. Michael Skogg

Kettlebells, Stroops Resistance Bands, Dumbbells, Sandbags, Gymnastics Rings, use it all on your CrossCore180®

By CrossCore

When using your own bodyweight as a form of resistance is not enough, CrossCore® steps it up a knotch and allows multiple counterweights to be used.

Simple, fun and inviting…but built like a tank! CrossCore® Rotational Bodyweight Training™ gear was originally invented for the US military to allow training consistency no matter the place or terrain. Each unit is made with quality components that hold up to the most rigorous workouts. Remove ahandle and add a kettlebell, sandbag or resistance band for added versatility. Gymnastics rings can be added for cross-training exercises such as rotational dips and muscle-ups. The adjustable anchor strap can attach to any safe anchor point, such as pull-up bars, racks and wood beams, from 7’ to 11’ high.
