Everest ER Base camp, the ER tent, and one of our medical evacuation helicopters!
We are on our last day here in Kathmandu. Many of us have quite a long flight tomorrow as we head for home. It has been a great experience. I look forward to sharing many more photos and stories with everyone when I return home.

Hello everyone!
We are leaving to make our ascent to Everest ER. We will be there in 3 days! I have been trying to send this and some pictures all day. Internet is horrible here and we will not be getting e-mail for the next 4 days. I will have to catch up with the blog and pics as soon as I am able to connect.
It is very cold here and we will be hiking in the snow for the rest of the way. Time to pull out all the snow gear! Other than that, we are all trying to stay healthy. There have been a few extreme altitude headaches the last few days, but we seem to be recovering. Will connect with you all again as soon as I can!

It is customary to walk to the left of these stones when hiking.

Everyone is very tired, but we are doing well. There were a couple cases of high altitude sickness, however they have recovered well. Pheriche is 14,015ft and a climb for sure! I have a new little puppy friend here already. Here are some pictures from the trip so far:
