Yesterday started at 6:30am for CME lectures followed by a city tour. Saw a few temples, a palace museum, and an outdoor area where they cremate human bodies....eeeeeek! Definitely had to wear a mask all day to keep my lungs clear. We also toured some very poor areas of Kathmandu. There are a lot of homeless animals here, mostly dogs. I pondered how to get them home, it is very sad. After our long day we had a dinner with the wms group.
The flight to Lukla today at 5:45 am is the flight from the most dangerous airport in the world! We all had to repack our bags twice last night because of weight change requirements at the airport. Most of our gear will get into lukla 2 days after we do. It better get there or we will freeze. It was below zero at base camp the last few days. Here are some pictures of the trip so far:
