How to stay fit during the holidays

By Elizabeth Reighard
Hello Everyone, I wanted to post a few tips on how to stay fit during the holidays. This is what I do and I encourage my clients to do the same. 1. Keep up with your workouts. If you are traveling do a Tabata body weight workout: A. 20 seconds of push ups and 10 second rest x 8 B. 20 seconds of jump squats and 10 second rest x 8 C. 20 seconds of sit ups and 10 second rest x 8 D. 20 seconds of mountain climbers and 10 second rest x 8 Rest one minute after each exercise before moving on to the next. This takes about 20 minutes and it is an ALL OUT workout during the work phase. Your muscles will be on FIRE. 2. Eat healthy. This high protein snacks for those hungry times or before you go somewhere so you aren't too hungry. Dry roasted edamame, Greek yogurt, low fat string cheese, non roasted almonds, protein shake. 3. Fill every plate with 1/2 vegetables or a salad and only take 3 bites of dessert. Those are the only ones you truely taste anyway. 4. Take a water bottle with you everywhere and fill it up at least 8 times a day. You won't be de-hydrated and you won't overeat. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone, Until next time.
