Eric C Greenberg's Biography.Eric C. Greenberg, MD, CPT's Biography Eric Greenberg, MD, CPT is a personal trainer certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. He lives in Bethesda, 9305 Old Georgetown Road next to the YMCA a mile north of Suburban Hospital. Dr. Greenberg has a lifetime commitment to personal health, fitness, and sports and is dedicated to helping others peruse this commitment. Dr. Greenberg received his BA in Humanities at the Johns Hopkins University in 1988. He was member of the crew and wrestled while he completed his pre-med requirements at Hopkins. Dr. Greenberg earned his MD at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and then completed his residency in internal medicine at Washington Hospital Center in 1996. Subsequently he received his Board Certification in Internal Medicine in 1996. Dr. Greenberg first worked as a personal trainer at the Harbor Nautilus in Baltimore in 1989. He has 30 years of experience in strength training and fitness and has played sports his entire life. In 2001, Dr. Greenberg went into private practice, and the emphasis of his practice was on preventative medicine, nutrition, fitness, and patient education. He also taught Physical Diagnosis to George Washington University medical students. He frequently treated sports injuries, performed intra-articular, bursa, trigger point injections, and prescribed physical rehabilitation regimes. He has vast experience with weight reduction, strength training, diet and lifestyle counseling, diabetes management, fitness prescriptions, woman's health and osteoporosis, the geriatric population, coronary risk assessment, and stress testing. Dr. Greenberg has made a career change and will utilize his expertise in the field of personal training.
