This month has flown by as has the summer! It's hard to believe that it's almost October. I know you are waiting for my client's blogs and I promise you they are coming, so stay tuned. For now, I thought I would fill you in on my adventures this month. I am very proud to say that this September, I taught my first Spin Class (taught one today). It went great and I loved every minute of it. The energy you get from the people in class is amazing and it just brings more energy into the ride. The one thing I love about Spinning, it can be done by just about anyone. I see all ages in class. Since you have control of the resistance wheel, you have control of your workout each time you step into a spin class. Many people get intimidated by the instructor or what the've heard from others and feel the need to go at the resistance that is being called out, yet the beauty of a spin class and a good instructor is when they explain that you can "go at your own pace and find your own rhythm" as the ride goes on. The instructor is jus there to guide you and push you to your limits, but in the end, you have full control of the entire ride, so you can push as hard as you wish.
It's always great to try new ideas, classes, and ways to exercise. Don't be intimidated by what others tell you or what you have seen on tv. Try to experience it hands-on. If anything, you will, find out just how strong you are and perhaps even just have a litte fun. Who says workouts have to always be grueling? Next time, enjoy the ride.
Oh, please email me songs for my playslists! What songs get you moving?
