Forget Resolutions, Create Change

By Jill Ackiron-Moses

I think this is a gentler, more realistic approach to starting the New Year.
It's a lot of pressure to think we'll suddenly change our diets, be at the gym EVERY day for an hour, stop smoking, get to sleep earlier etc. all because the year is changing.

Perhaps it's the year you'll go to sleep 15 minutes earlier every week, volunteer at an animal shelter once a month to walk the dogs, try a new class as the gym, work with a personal trainer once a week to safely and effectively amp up your workouts.

Whatever brings you satisfaction and a sense of well being is worth doing. Take small steps and celebrate the new changes you've incorporated.

Gradually adapting positive, tangible behaviors will help to bring balance, health and happiness to all our lives as we enter a new year.
Wishing you love and light!
Happy New Year!

Jill Ackiron-Moses

As a yoga instructor, personal trainer and group exercise instructor, I want everyone that I have the privilege to work with to take ownership of their health. No matter their age, health issues, size or history, today is a new day. Moving forward to develop a healthier, happier and stronger person is my goal for my clients. I strive to develop functional and effective training programs that are relevant and specific to the lifestyles of each of my clients. I work with a wide variety of clients, from teens through seniors, people dealing with Parkinson's,diabetes, MS, CP, cancer, morbid obesity, diabetes, bi polar disorder, cardiac issues, physical rehab and more. It is my belief that everyone deserves to feel strong, in control and proud of the bodies they inhabit, at this moment in time. I start where the client is and we work as a team to determine goals and an action plan to progressively achieve their goals for long term success and a healthier tomorrow.
