When trying to lose weight and get healthier snacks can really wreck havoc on your goals. You can eat 3 healthy meals and in one sitting with ice cream can ruin all the good eating and exercise you did that day. So here are some better choices but of course, watch your portion size.
Air popped popcorn
non-fat or fat free cottage cheese
hummus with baked pita chips ( watch the fat/calorie content though )
fruit smoothie ( small please as they naturally have sugar )
raw veggies with hummus or a low fat yogurt dip
baked apple with some cinnamon ( skip the sugar )
small box of raisins
1/2 a banana and 3/4 cup skim milk or soy milk
apple with 1 tsp low fat peanut butter
there are lots of brands of reduced calorie or reduced fat ice creams just pay special attention to your portion size please ( diabetics opt for sugar free )
There are many choices available. If portion sizing is your downfall, pick prepackaged portion size snack packs.
