This is the first question so many people ask me. Most people in america have been involved in some sort of club sport in high school or college and feel they dont need a trainer or can get same information in magazines and internet. The fact of the matter is all you need to know to train yourself is in books and the internet and if you spend 10 years doing that you will finally have all of the information and maybe a tool or 2 work work it. A personal trainer has already done that work for you and is to correctly able to diagnose your current conditon and able to lay out a path for you to succeed. They provide you with training, knowledge, support, mental & physical help, medical backup, and if they are really good you should only need a trainer long enough to build you and set you on the right path to becoming a better, healthier you.
