Sometimes you just need to jump in with both feet. That's what I did, literally. This week I quit my job at Snap Fitness and started working as a group Aqua instructor at the Clark County YMCA. I am so happy with that. The people at the Y are so amazing and caring for everyone there. So this week I have taken many different styles of water fitness classes and even did a little teaching. It was so much fun. It can also be frustrating. So many people feel that water aerobics is just wimpy. Water exercise really is not wimpy. After all, Michael Phelps is a beast. He is so very strong and he spends much of his life in the pool. Water exercise is great for everyone. It is easy on joints, you don't get overheated or sweaty in the water, you can work out all the muscles in such a way that you wont be as sore. And best of all, being in the water is fun. So older or younger, injured or healthy. Water exercise is great for all bodies. So in the end, I am very happy to be moving forward and teaching water aerobics now. I hope that many of my friends/clients will some day join me in the pool and have fun.
