Bob Seebohar, an exercise physiologist and founder of the non-profit youth triathlon team Kids That TRI, is now implementing the use of the 58°F KewlFit Performance Cooling Vests into the team's training routine. Bob is incorporating the same cooling strategy, technology and protocol he learned while being a part of the 2008 Olympic Triathlon Team in South Korea and Beijing. He says “youth are not able to efficiently cool themselves as well as adults’ so pre-cooling is important in managing their core temperature prior to training.”
Here are two members of the team using the KewlFit Performance Cooling Vest as a Pre-Cooling tool before their bike ride. Research shows the importance of Pre-Cooling before endurance exercise as it enables the body to perform more work before fatigue is reached.
Here members of the team do their active warm-up ride while wearing the KewlFit Cooling Vest to help keep core temperature in check while working out their legs.
Kids that TRI is a USA Triathlon Team that inspires youth to be physically active through the sport of triathlon. The team is open to any child interested in improving health, wellness and physical activity. For more information please visit http://www.kidsthattri.org/
