Do you ever fell like you just don’t have the time to work out but then feel guilty because you didn't work out?
I just recently discovered a new form of workout that takes only about 20 minutes and it is so intense that you only need to do it once a week to help increase your fat burning. What is this form of workout you say? It is called Tabata.
A little history on Tabata:
Tabata was discovered in Tokyo by Dr. Tabata and his team. Dr. Tabata and his team were looking for ways to increase aerobic and anaerobic conditioning. Anaerobic and aerobic conditioning doesn’t normally go hand in hand but with Tabata they do.
What exactly is Tabata:
Tabata is a workout where you put 110% into one exercise for 20 seconds and then rest for a short 10 seconds and then do the exercise again. You do 8 sets like this for each exercise that you do. You want to target your large muscles groups while doing this for the best results (ie. Hamstrings or Quadriceps).
If you find the concept of Tabata as interesting as I do check out the following websites that I have found on it for more information.
I challenge you to give Tabata a try and to leave feedback as to how it worked for you here so everyone that is unsure about trying it out can get some feedback and encouragement to give it a try.
I personally have not tried Tabata myself but I plan to for my next workout and will leave feedback as well.
