Do Not Repeat!

By Kurt Gillon

People who fail to achieve goals almost always signal their intent to fail by using three little words:

"I will try..."

There are no three words in the English language that are more deceptive, both to the person who says them and the person who hears them.  People who say "I will try" have given themselves permission to fail. No matter what happens, they can always claim that they "tried."

People who hear "I will try" and don't realize what it really means are fooling themselves, by thinking there's a chance that the speaker will actually succeed.  People who really and truly achieve goals never say "I will try."  Instead, they always say "I will do" something–or, better yet, "I must do" whatever the task is.  As a wise (though fictional) guru once said: "Do, or do not. There is no 'try.'"

Food for Thought

By Kurt Gillon

Right this moment, your thoughts are setting the direction of your future. Choose thoughts that will lead you to the life you most desire. You first have to think it. Keep it in your thoughts every minute, hour, day and year. Visualize it clearly and create that which is yours to attain.

Potential is OVERATED!

By Kurt Gillon

Many people have the talent, god-given ability and potential to do great things but many aren't willing to put in the effort and are just waiting for things to happen instead of making things happen. Regardless of the potential and talent you still have the put the time and work in because without putting the work and time all it really is is just potential.

Listen Up!

By Kurt Gillon

When you think of doing something, there’s a reason why you have that thought. Listen to what the thought is suggesting, and take action immediately. Don’t let the idea or the intention or the vision slip away. Take action and make it real.

Never Quit Never Give Up

By Kurt Gillon

The key here is being the best YOU you can be. Not trying to be the best anyone else. We are each created with our own strengths, weakness, talents, stumbling blocks, and if we get up each day determined to be the best we can be, to live and share our gifts, to soar off of our ledges into our destinies it is a good day.
I am not a big "quoter" but this one is well worth passing along.

"Being above average is not all that difficult. To put it bluntly, the average person has settled for less, has accepted mediocrity. The goal in life is not to be an average human being but to be the best you can possible be. This attitude is a matter of making the most out of what you were born with. It follows from acknowledging an obligation to excellence." ~George Sheehan, MD

Be Boundless!

By Kurt Gillon

Set boundless goals so amazing that they seem almost impossible. Each step you take moves you along the way. Small victories will move you toward the greater goal. When you’ve done well, set your sights on doing even better. When you’ve successfully reached high, reach even higher. Don’t let your success go to waste by simply sitting on it. Find a way

BLESS

By Kurt Gillon

Blessing We are all great rivers flowing to their end. Swirling inside us is the silt of ages and creatures and lands and rain that has fallen for millions of years. All this makes us cloudy with mud, unable to see God. As we struggle for clarity and the open sky, the Lord keeps saying the same thing: Come to me now and be blessed, Come. Rest does the body good!!!

By Kurt Gillon

The amount of rest each individual needs every night differs, however the average adult needs approximately 7-8 hours of sleep each night to restore their body with the energy it needs to handle all of the demands of living each day. However, most individuals cut back on their sleep to pack more activities into their day.

Unfortunately, this runs the body down allowing more viruses and diseases to attack the body because the immune system is not functioning as well as it should. Then, the individual gets sick and misses days or even weeks of all of those important activities. When you get enough rest your body runs as it should and your immune system is stronger and able to fight off infection and illness.
