Does anyone really think fast food is good for children? We all know that it is probably not good for them. Some folks think it's perfectly fine for an occasional treat.
The advertisers want to make sure that kids tell mom and dad or grandma and grandpa to take them out for fast food. Marketers use movies, toys to associate the foods with fun.
This is reminiscent of the Joe Camel ads that finally disappeared in the early 90's because of the associations kids made with cartoon characters like mickey mouse.
Many experts now think that consumption of these foods are just as dangerous if not more than smoking.
Will we see a shift in what fast food restaurants are allowed to use as marketing tactics?
