Have you ever heard a friend or relative say something like "this is vegan so it's good for you" or "don't worry, it's fat free" some other over-generalization about foods?
Since it happens all of the time I thought I would share some of the most common nutrition myths and link to a legit article that will tell you more if you want more info.
- Raw foods are always healthier than cooked foods. Not necessarily true
- All processed foods are bad. What about baby carrots and apple slices.
- Natural foods are always healthier. Don't start downing the honey just yet.
- All sugar should be eliminated. Well, added sugar for sure.
