• Chesterfield, MO 63017
Just incase the little blurb wasn't enough information about me, here is a little more:
I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, and have been actively training for a couple years now. However, prior to my completion of the ACE exam, I was an athletic enhancement coach at Velocity Sports Performance in Chesterfield, MO. I worked at Wilson's Fitness in Columbia, MO doing training, athletic enhancement, and soccer coaching. Then, I moved on to an athletic training internship with the University of Missouri football team in summer 2010. I currently am employed by the University Recreation Complex as a Tiger Trainer. My passion is getting people excited about making healthy lifestyle changes and seeing improvements in their training status as well as overall self-esteem.
I have worked as a women's empowerment advocate and peer-rape educator in the past 3 years of my college career as well. This has taught me a lot about connecting the emotional side of health and wellness with the physical side that such a fitness major would learn in class. I feel that this is extremely beneficial to my profession, because I want to make a difference in people's lives.
As of now, I am finishing up my undergrad degree here at Mizzou in May...I would love to continue training back in St. Louis, and want to pursue a management position in a well-established and reputable fitness center or corporate wellness program. Hopefully, I will be accepted into SLU's Masters of Health Administration where I can get a great deal more experience and education under my belt to help me in the real world!
I have so many great ideas for group fitness classes, fitness programs, marketing ideas, boot camps, education programs...so if you or anyone you know is looking for a new, fresh outlook on the industry, LET ME KNOW! :)
