I think I am feeling the burnout. 11 group fitness classes per week, training clients, teaching TRX courses and being a mom...it is all adding up!!! What do you do for burnout???
My yearly course of action for the when I feel burnout coming on is to take a break! I always take 2 weeks off during the Christmas holidays and allow myself to enjoy good food and drink with friends and family. I enable my body to recover, rest and repair.
When the holiday season is not around, I get subs for classes adjust my training schedule, go out on dates with my husband (smiles) and get to bed earlier than usual.
Burnout is common in our industry and it is vital to stay on top of it. I believe it is important to schedule rest and recovery.
