Please do not give up on your exercise program; call it active break time if that makes you feel better.
If all you are doing is sleeping better, then it is working. Now pay attention to what else is going on: better mood, more energy, stronger, clearer mind, etc.
Please hold on to those factors to keep yourself motivated and moving forward, even if it feels as though the progress may take long. Tip: sometimes it takes longer to see results than we wish or expect.
Now, have you found anything that exercise is not able to help? Please let me know; I will probably find a good side or silver lining, if you will.
Best of health to everyone.
Mark Twain is known for mentioning that we need to be careful reading health books, we may die of a misprint.
Isn't that so true? Butter is good, butter is bad, butter is good. Eggs are good, eggs are bad, eggs are good. These reports will continue until the end of time.
My best advice is to take care of your individual needs over following advice geared to the general public. Who is the general public and what are the needs and goals? Men and women are different, yet, not always tested as such. Then we have nationalities with their own traits...so much to take into consideration.
Please take all the information you read, hear and see, take that to your doctor and find the best course of action with the help of all professionals at your disposal.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Who is credited with that one?
Here is another directory for you to find NCCA accredited trainers in order to get the best fitness training possible. This should help you find what you need to reach those health and fitness goals.
Best of health to you.
How is everyone doing with the new year's resolution? Is it somewhat difficult to keep all your goals in view? Have you slipped off the bandwagon and thought to yourself, what's the point?
Stop and think to yourself...it is too soon to give up. Keep telling yourself that... every day, every hour, every minute, each and every little slip up...it is too soon to give up. Call your confidant for a powwow, or better yet, make it a moving meeting: bike, walk, skate, etc., doing what makes you smile and open up, to help break through the stalemate.
You could also have a healthy cooking session. Isn't the meal preparation half the fun when you have help and great conversation? Continue the meeting while consuming the delectable nutrition, all guilt free. I bet you will learn new ideas and tips from each other, too.
Happy new year to you all; let's make it another memorable year of sticking to our own amazingly enjoyable healthy lifestyle.
Here we are at the Christmas time of year with many holidays to celebrate and prepare for with loved ones. The stress level can quickly become overwhelming for many reasons, personal and physical. Please remember that doing only a few minutes of an exercise/healthy lifestyle program will help get you the needed energy and motivation to accomplish the list of chores...with a smile. Give everyone you meet a smile and it just may be the catalyst they need to continue and put things in perspective. All you have to do is get started for five minutes of your favorite activity and do your stretches. If you are recovering from an injury, make sure to follow doctor's orders so this too shall pass. Give yourself a break to truly enjoy your life; isn't that why we exercise in the first place?
Are you finding it harder and harder to stick to the rules of your healthy lifestyle program? No problem, we can fix that.
All you have to do is ask yourself one question: Can I do that for the rest of my life? If the answer is yes, then go for it. If the answer is not in a million years, then let it go. If the answer is maybe, put it on the to do list for later.
When you find yourself slipping, it is time to regroup and make one change that you can stick to for the rest of your life. Look at the positive gains you have made, maybe keeping track of them in a gratification journal.
Do not dwell on the negative isses of falling off the bandwagon; rather, this is the time to grasp the opportunity of learning something. What happened and why, what can be done about it, should I continue or let this go?
The take away is: don't worry about the future, plan for it; don't dwell in the past, learn from it; and always enjoy the present, a gift from you know Who.
