Race season has come upon us quickly.
Jogging, cycling, and swimming are all great sports individually and combined in many ways. They are also sports performed in one plane, or direction, which can lead to increased risk of injury or discomfort in the ankles, knees, hips and back. Cross training in multiplanar motions, or many directions, can reduce the risk of pain and discomfort and even injury. Good luck out there this season, have fun and stay balanced.
Just a few tips for you as you get out in the cold to train and participate in the first few races of the season.
- Hydrate and fuel correctly.
- Injuries can be rehabilitated and prevented with the correct exercises and attention.
- Gradually increase your training to reduce burnout and injury.
- Always HAVE FUN!!
