Well, it's been a little over a month and a half since the end of school. Things are definitely not easy in this life, nor are things handed to you. You need to get on your feet and keep moving on to the next big thing. Activity at my present job with sports performance training and personal training is relatively slow, but building. I anticipate that this next month could hold a good amount of growth there. The tough part is coming in to a program at this location that was desserted. They have not had a professional fitness staff for some years now, so it is my duty to resuscitate this program. So, needless to say, it's slow progress. But... it's still progress. It's like they say in exercise. If all you can do is manage to walk a little more each day in an attempt to try and reach your goal, you're still lapping everyone that's sitting on the couch.
What I plan to build here is not only a bigger base of personal training clients and help to develop more athletes in the sports performance program, but to educate those individuals and motivate them. Afterall, health and fitness is merely what a program boasts at a glance. It is who it enables you to become that truly defines a successful program. At least that's what I believe. In order to accomplish this, I need to live the life. I don't think that I will ever lose passion for my work because my work is what I do and who I am. I believe in working hard, thinking positively, not giving up, staying educated/informed, and being humble. If you think that you're at the top of your game, you're probably wrong. It's good to be confident and have a high level of self-efficacy, but to be content with where you are is a mistake. Keep pushing! Even though life is hard at the moment and I'm barely making enough money to pay my basic bills, I refuse to give in and will keep pushing to help others and myself.
Stay tuned. I have a few ideas that I'm working with and will be ultimately developing at-home programming for individuals as well as new program ideas for my sports facility. Until next time, stay true, stay strong, work hard, and keep pushing on!
