First Day Of Autumn Is Tomarrow

By Sharon Johnson-May

Altough it's going to be another hot one today...over 90...there is definitley a change in the air during early morning  workouts. A layer for warmth is required; our workout mats get wet from the time they are unfurled (a little drama there,LOL) and the time we sit down to stretch and hit the core region. During the day, the angle of the sun is a bit lower...I love it!

Cooler days mean easier and more enjoyable workouts, there is no doubt about it! The heat takes a tremendous toll on us as we exercise. During this time of year, as we exercise, our raised core temperature is beautifully offset by cooler air. It is somehow refreshing. We want to get moving to  warm up; we want to stay moving to keep warm.

This also seems to be a time of goal setting....all the looming holidays and all...Consider joining an exercise class now...there is no better time than the present and...hate to say it....we really are NOT getting younger....the new season begins tomarrow!

How about starting a new season in your own life? One where health and fitness takes the priority that you know is needed for optimum health. Be good to yourself...people are counting on you.

Be well.

Sharon
