Let's face it we all have our crosses to bear, our demons or our "things" we struggle with on a daily basis. If we fall into a rut it is because we let ourselves fall into that rut. It is nobody's issue but yours, and yours alone. You get but one chance on this earth as far as I can tell from my point of view. Why would you want to spend it as an average version of yourself? I am not ANYWHERE even close to perfect by any means, believe me. Nobody can be that is part of being human. We all make mistakes and what really boils down to is how we pick ourselves up after and ask ourselves- "What can or did I learn from this experience?"
At some point in order for any significant change to happen in any facet of your life you need to be at peace with yourself and accept yourself for who you are. You can only make that happen by talking to yourself. It kind of seems weird to think of it like that but ask your self this-"Who do I talk to more than any other person than myself?" The answer is simple-nobody. As humans we are by nature our own worst critics. Nobody is harder on you than you. So do yourself a favor and don't be so hard on yourself. Learn to forgive but not forget. Its OK to go off and try new things or eat something that maybe isn't really the best for us, or NOT got to the gym. These are the little things and everybody tells us not to sweat the little things.
Remember what I said above? Learn to forgive but not forget. Yeah the second part of that is crucial to the learning process. It helps you grow. You need to NOT forget what mistakes you made, but you need to forgive yourself in order to change. I need to take some of my own medicine at times and work on things just like everyone else.
It 's a process and I try to be a better version of my self everyday. Even if it is just 1 little thing. Because 1 little thing per day adds up to hundreds over time and the cumulative effect is what I'm looking for.
It's ALL about CORE,
