Coach Kevin is leading a great Urban Boot Camp. The 4 week outdoor camp was such a hit the recruits asked for round two! Seems they like being challenged and like to run, jump, crawl around on the ground. Most importantly they have created a bond and are and making great headway in their fitness levels. HOOAH!
This session I've stepped out of my comfort zone and tackled a 5:30am Boot Camp Class. I say that not because it's Boot Camp. I feel every trainer should be able to handle that! I say this because it's early in the morning. I'm not a morning person.......at all. Personal Trainers and Group Exercise Instructors are happy, motivating, understanding, great listeners...the list could go on. Bottom line is no matter what time of day we are ON.
A quick, intensive workout today, guaranteeing to bring your heart rate up:Warm up for about 10 minutes. Then, do the following 3 exercises for the total of 30 seconds EACH of them:1. Prisoner squats (squat with your hands behind your neck)2. Front plank (make sure to maintain the body straight and parallel to the floor)
There's still room to register for the bootcamp classes. Class one runs Mondays/ Wednesdays at 8 am, class two runs Tuesdays/Fridays at 7pm. Don't miss your chance to join a fun, supportive group and get the exercise you've been putting of to do. It's always more fun to sweat with company.
What do you think of when you hear the words Group Exercise? Do you picture a class of all women, steps in front of them, bubble gum pop music, leotards and leg warmers? If you think that is what Group Exercise (or as I like to call it Group Fitness) is, I want to help you see that it has changed.
