The best way to get results with a client is to create a completely transparent nonjudgemental relationship. One way to do this is to have a dounut or two every few months to communicate your humanity, empathy, and not so out of touch grasp on reality. We all live with what I call real life obstacles but they are all things that we can overcome if we are gut wrenchingly honest with ourselves about what we want and are capable of. Just look at Demi Moore in G.I Jane. One-arm push-ups = very nice, passing all the other tests despite being ganged up on by all the men =&
This month's theme is Edify July because when we help others we help ourselves. To start the month off, we had someone volunteer and make journals for all of us. I am titling mine The Cheat Journal and only recording the blunders.
Monday Day 1- Victory. Only whoops was not enough water at a mere 60oz.
Day 2- cravings are still pretty much non-existent as a result of the Usana 5-day Reset program recently completed and the fact that I promised to journal all cheats. So, confession today is I accidentally ate a rice Krispy treat. Sorry ladies.
Parting words: eat well and eat often.

What do you think of when you hear the words Group Exercise? Do you picture a class of all women, steps in front of them, bubble gum pop music, leotards and leg warmers? If you think that is what Group Exercise (or as I like to call it Group Fitness) is, I want to help you see that it has changed.
The word 'workout' when it comes to exercise suggests hard work. From now on the word workout should be replaced with training. The word 'bootcamp' well that belongs to the army. It has no meaning in the fitness field........ really.. From now on that word shoud be replaced with group training. Ok my 2 cents worth is done.
In honor of the beautiful, white stuff that blanketed everything in Snowmass this morning, I decided to dedicate today's boot camp to our favorite winter sports. Just as in skiing and snowboarding, we used our body weight as our main load, doing things like isometric squats, one legged squats, and rotating squat jumps. We were lunging like we were tele skiing and doing floor dips like when we need to pick ourselves back up. We did mogul hops, lunges, and, of course, mountain climbers .
