Yoga before mommyhood is competely different from yoga after mommyhood. No more running out th door to get to whatever class I can hit. No more staying at the studio after hours to get my practice in, regardess of time. These days, my yoga mat is often covered with stuffed animals and Dora blanket. Ashtanga yoga is my main practice, and I've always had a home practice, but it's getting harder and harder to fit everything in a day, and get more than five hours of sleep.
WOW, what a great day! Approximately 50 people gathered at Camp Max Straus eager to start a day full of health and fitness. It was so rewarding to see each person pass through the gates for the camp grounds into a 112-acre oasis. Mother nature was great to us. Learning to read labels, portion size and moving everyday lead to our success. Our children need to be given the "tools" to succeed - we spent time reading labels in the grocery store and I created a kit for my daughter to help her with measurements and reading labels. It worked and she still uses the kit and has maintained her weight for the past 3 years! We lost a total of 160lbs together and created a fit healthy lifestyle.
