Seeing that all this was going on i must say i still did pretty well.

I read an interesting article and research on kids with allergies.  I was always under-weight as a kid.  I'm sure my knees were wider than my calfs and thighs. :)  I didn't have many food choices. Celery, lettuce, potatoes, broccoli, bread and meat were my standard foods. I was and still am allergic to well over 20 common foods.

Open up any fitness magazine these days and trust me you will discover more than 1000 different ways to lose x amount of wieght in so many days or weeks. Eat more protein, eat less protein. Add fat, cut fat. Don't eat carbs, eat carbs. Caffiene is good, wait a minute caffiene is bad. Run high intensity intervals, no do walking to promote fat burning. Drink water as if there was no tomorrow, oh wait but not bottled water. Well, as you can see, it's a wonder we have the issues we have when it comes to health, fitness and wellness.

Lifestyle choices are by far the biggest factor that affect our health.  According to the U.S. Surgeon General, 83% of deaths before the age of 65 are preventable with lifestyle change. I've heard it all...from "I'm going to die anyway, so I'm going to eat what I want" and people continue to smoke even after they've had heart disease.  Why?  Why wouldn't someone want to make better choices for their body?

Why Starch and Fruit Carb Cycling?  These two types of carbohydrates have a greater effect on your systems, and can aid in fat and sugar storage.  Adding a starch and fruit cycle to your nutrition regimen, can sometimes aid in speeding up the weight loss process. If you have established sound nutritional habits on a daily basis (examples: eating breakfast, protein at each meal, 5-10 servings green and brightly colored vegetables a day, etc.), then adding this strategy may be one to consider for an extra kick to your weight loss journey.
