The other day a few students and colleagues were engaged in an online chat about a spin class the gist of which was that the class was difficult and awesome. The end result of the exchange was to make me want to go take the class.
Today we had the first actual RL52 Cycling sports specific session at Launch Sport Performance in Rockville, MD - Pre-Season Football Cycle! It was amazing to actually see football players on the bike in the cycling studio going through the sports specific sets, mimicing actual on-the-field work on the bike and listening to their feedback and reaction to this type of training. Oh yeah and the bike moves from side to side - its not just your ordinary bike...but an amazing cross-training tool.

The Whole Athlete/Specialized Cycling Team showed its class at the 2013 Cross Country National Championships with four Junior National titles and ten top-3 podium finishes. The young riders truly rose to the occasion at the biggest US event of the season.
Adnan Kadir and Martin Baker won their division in the 6-Hour endurance NW Cup at Mt. Hood Skibowl mountain bike race this past weekend. Adnan said with the hot temperatures the 58°F KewlFit Cooling Vests "were an integral part of our plan". Adnan and his team wore the cooling vest as a Pre-Cooling device as well as in between their races to help regulate core temperature.
Bob Seebohar, an exercise physiologist and founder of the non-profit youth triathlon team Kids That TRI, is now implementing the use of the 58°F KewlFit Performance Cooling Vests into the team's training routine.
