I remember when I was a kid every March/April the Wizard of Oz would show on TV. I know I am aging myself, but that was back in the day when it was a BIG deal to show it on TV--it was like the Wizard of Oz was a rite of passage to springtime. I often questioned whether this had to do with the tornado in the movie as springtime in tornado alley is prime time to hunker down.

My husband has been traveling a lot lately.  When he's gone I'm a single (married), working mother of 3 small, active little girls.  Time is in short supply (which is why I haven't posted a blog in awhile!).  There never seems to be enough hours in the day to get done what needs to get done.

As I took off for my long run last weekend, I passed a duo of ladies finishing up their run and overheard this: Lady runner #1, “Wow!  I never thought I would be able to run 8 miles!”Lady runner #2, “I knew you could!  Great job today!” I smiled to myself, because thoughts and conversations like this are so common among runners, beginner or experienced.

I'm grateful to be mentioned in this inspiring article about a remote coaching client who suffered head trauma and persevered then triumphed. http://www.bellinghamherald.com/2013/01/28/2855310/dominic-alexander-keeps-on-running.html
