I love my Super Shake and you wanna know why? It's healthy, nutritious, satisfying and it tastes GREAT! I have tried other products that are already done for you, all you have to do is add water or milk. They tasted chalky or smelled strange.

I saw a video on Men's Health the other day titled "6 Protein Myths:". After watching it I felt like it lacked depth and by not addressing some of the information I was doing a disservice to all who followed that page. The following is my observation. Misconception #1:"Protein Builds Muscle" The first myth is kind of common sense. Contrary to popular belief protein doesn't build muscle. Protein is what your muscle is made of.

A few weeks ago, a few friends and I went for a hike.  It was a beautiful sunny day, and we were excited to be on a new trail.  We had an idea of where we were going and which trails we needed to follow in order to get us to where we wanted to go.  We took a picture of the map so we could have it on our phones and started out.  It was about a nine-mile hike, and we were confident of our ability to read a map and follow the trail markers!  All was well as we hiked and enjoyed the scenery and the company of each other.

I have people approach me almost everyday seeking my advice about losing weight, or they have started started a diet and exercise regimen, but seem to have reached a plateau in their efforts.  I know the topic of weight loss is always a confusing one.

I am a football fan as much as the next person. College football is my sport and Michigan is my team (Go Blue) But the reality is that all the socializing that goes along with it can be detrimental to your health and waist line. So I don't do it. NFL and College Football are on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That is over 50% of the week. For many people each game involves a drink or two at home, a sports bar or at the stadium. Alcohol consumption of more than 1 serving, more than 1-2 per week will surely give you a gut, especially if you are drinking beer.

Now that Labor Day has come and gone, it's now time to fall back into your fitness routine - no more excuses.  Kids are back at school, vacations are over, and work schedules have gotten back to normal.  Holiday engagements will be on hold until November, so we only have two months before we are immersed in the holidays.
