Let me guess...you gained some weight this holiday season? If so, then there are some tips you should be aware of before you embark on your journey. I say journey because it will likely take more time than you will feel motivated. Typically, we get fired up for about 2-3 weeks and then the mood fades. Here are some common mistakes people make and how you can avoid them.
Not too long ago, a fellow trainer and coach extraordinaire, Eric Cressey posted about “How Being an Optimist Will Help You in Strength and Conditioning”. I read the blog post and definitely agreed how Cressey relating strength and conditioning and being an optimalist will create a better overall environment. A better environment means more results.
So, you want to lose 10 pounds! What to do? Well, notwithstanding the Holiday Season, there is plenty you can do to achieve your goal. You just need to allow yourself some time for implementing the first couple of changes and make sure you do not lose more than 1-2 pounds per week. Any faster than that, and your weight might be back sooner than later! If you “shed” fast, you do not build healthy life habits, you do not change your daily actions for a time long enough to imprint the new way of acting as your “usual” from now on.
Do you stuggle with going on and off diets or are there some bad habits you just haven't been able to get rid of? You might want to consider getting a Health Coach. A Certified Health Coach is a specialty training and a subset of Life Coaching.
So I recently shared I had added some new supplements into my routine to re-energize my workouts. Truth be told, I have been working out for over thirty years now, and it can sometimes be hard to stay focused.
I’m happy to announce new online training packages. You’re far but you want to train, your schedule makes it hard for sessions or you just really don’t like spending quality time with me, well here ‘s a solution you. I put together 4 packages, fit for all budget levels. You get workouts, meal plans, coaching, all you need to be successful on your journey.
So I was thinking about the way we train. I think the biggest problem with the way most people train is that they do what they like, but don't do much of the things they don't. For instance, if you love to jog, but hate strength training, generally we jog much more than train with weights! The same thing happens the other way around as well.
