Great Balls of Fire! Can you tell I took two ball classes in a row? I had better be buff! The synchronicities of life are sometimes unavoidable. Whether you're superstitious or not, sometimes happenings line up in such a way that you can't help but notice. You switch stations on your car radio and the exact same song is playing on a different channel, and then you hear it playing in the supermarket. Is there a message? I guess it depends on the song. I didn't need to be hit over the head with a sandbell, however, to get the message during today's opening sessions at the 2015 IDEA Personal Trainer Institute East.

From the check engine light on your car to the check body light on your biometric sensor, it’s clear we live in a connected environment that is amassing more data about us and our habits than we can feasibly harness and make sense of at the moment. A two-day tour around 2015 International CES® in Las Vegas this week put this into sharp relief.
More than 400 personal trainers are scheduled to arrive in Seattle to join the ones who came early for the preconference options, which included TRX: Sports Medicine Suspension Training Course and NASM: Women's Fitness Specialist Workshop. If the opening class is any indication, we're in for a stream of steady inspiration from some of the Northwest's best.
