Why is it so important to inhale through our nose? There are several reasons for this. When we inhale through our nose, the hairs that line our nostrils filter out particles of dust and dirt that can be injurious to our lungs. If too many particles accumulate on the membranes of the nose, we automatically secrete mucus to trap them or sneeze to expel them. The mucous membranes of our septum, which divides the nose into two cavities, further prepare the air for our lungs by warming and humidifying it.
Sunday= plan of attack ...POA day. My fitness efforts have been really weak since my vacation. I've not had a goal and been so inconsistent with my workouts that I have gone backwards in my fitness and buffness level :snicker: I'd highly suggest that you take some time to PLAN your workout week ahead...it really helps keep you more consistent and HONEST.
Last week was an "A" type person's nightmare. Not that I consider myself an A type person but many of those around me do so when their life gets thrown out of whack, so does mine. Shortened weeks are always a little bit hectic and with the Labor Day holiday, Tuesday felt like Monday which meant people didn't want to get moving until Wednesday when the week was half over already.
I am reining it in! My eating was out of control over the weekend. Family in town and I went on a binge. Now I have to start back on the low carb, lots of greens and veggies. Protein and working harder to burn, baby, burn it off! Can't wait to get started!
The ONLY diet I am on these days is a News Diet. With today’s 24/7 news spin-cycle networks have to find ways to keep audiences tuned in. They do this by sensationalizing and dramatizing events which play on our emotions. Notice how they build up the intensity just before a commercial break so you will stay tuned? Since the invention of the DVR, networks have to take advantage of every opportunity to get advertising revenue and the news is the ONE show many do not record and therefore cannot fast forward through advertisements.
Anyone following a traditional weight loss plan knows it takes time (and a lot of hard work!) to produce results. It’s no wonder that when we see ads featuring lean, attractive models guaranteeing us that their secret ingredients can help speed up the process, we’re a little tempted to give them a try.
