So I arrived home from a trip to Boston to see the fireworks while vacationing. Having been a police officer in my former life, I enjoy watching people. Their interactions shows so much. Along with all of this watching people, came a few life lessons.
I have a full time job and work in fitness part time. My time for my own workouts seems to dwindle every day. I have been trying to find the "ideal" workout - hit all the major muscles and get in some cardio in under an hour. Can it be done? I did it today. I did a 16 min HIIT DVD and followed it up with a full body strength training DVD. We hit all the major muscle groups in the strength training DVD and as for cardio...my heart rate his 92% at one point. It was a killer work out and I feel reallly good afterward.
If you have read my bio, you already know that I’ve been working as a personal trainer for the last 18 years. I am always trying new products to find the BEST and MOST EFFECTIVE ones that will help my clients lose weight while maintaining their lean body mass.
When trying to lose weight and get healthier snacks can really wreck havoc on your goals. You can eat 3 healthy meals and in one sitting with ice cream can ruin all the good eating and exercise you did that day. So here are some better choices but of course, watch your portion size.appleAir popped popcornnon-fat or fat free cottage cheesepickleshummus with baked pita chips ( watch the fat/calorie content though )sunflower seedsfruit smoothie ( small please as they naturally have sugar )
Environmental factors that may affect balance and mobility skills include the surface conditions you are standing or walking on (is it uneven or slippery?), the lighting conditions (is it low light or changing light?) and the complexity of the visual environment (are you in a crowded shopping center?). Many environmental situations may have multiple factors creating heightened challenge to balance skills. Consider the challenge of walking down rain-slicked steps, on a dark, cloudy day in front of a busy museum.Copyright 2012, K-FitPro

Is today REALLY Friday?? LOL!!Today's workout so far was a super hot one!! I ran hills outside- got 6 in before I died from the heat. 4 hours later I'm still feeling sweaty from it, lol! Oh boy, this is a touchy subject for me...if you've ever read about or watched videos on the inhumane treatment of factory farmed animals then I'm sure you can relate. Today's blog is not so much about that, although, when making some points it is necessary to include. I'm here to inform you of the health TRUTH behind 100% grass fed meat vs grain fed meat. Everything you see in bold means I have quoted from a website. I will show at the end of blog where the information came from.
