Any One Else Here Work with Fitness Training for Competitive Cheerleaders?

I am a tumbling/cheerleading coach who believes strongly that fitness, strength, and progressions unlock the athletic ability of the athletes. I am trying to figure out a way to merge these two fields seamlessly with balance and flexibility training for flyers, resistance training for bases, and general whole body exercise for other athletes.

I'm curious if others have attempted this, or had experience working with cheer teams in the past. What has worked? what didn't?
