As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Youth Exercise Specialist, I love helping people reach their general fitness goals; whether that means losing weight, increasing lean body mass or just having the ability to move and feel better while carrying in the groceries or playing with your kids. When I design personalized fitness programs, I like to mix in a bunch of fun things besides just lifting weights (although you’ll be doing that too and in a way you’ve probably never experienced before). I add a bit of balance training, a pinch of flexibility, a couple tablespoons of core stabilization and I’ve even been known to top it off with some speed, agility and quickness workouts…I mean why should athletes have all the fun right? Then, before you even realize you’re in a fitness program, you’ve lost weight, you’re moving better and you have less aches and pains! I’ll show you that the phrase “variety is the spice of life” can apply to exercise too.
I also like to keep up my reading. I mean, there is so much confusing information out there, what is the average Joe (or Jane) supposed to do. So here’s the deal, I’ll keep up with all the nerdy science stuff so that you can just concentrate on your goals.
Oh, one more thing…NASM (that place where I got my Personal Trainer Certification) is awesome because they use this thing called the Optimum Performance Training model. Sounds pretty high-tech huh? Well, it’s kind of like a roadmap to get anybody to any goal and it works really, really well for people wanting to lose weight, get better at their sport or just feel better while going through your day.
