Why is Hair Transplantation and Cosmetic Surgery Cheaper in Turkey?

By eric leader

You probably have heard so much about the growing popularity of cosmetic surgery and hair transplant in Turkey. Now you must be interested in cosmetic treatments offered in Turkey and looking for prices.

’’ But wait?! Why are the prices too cheap?! The quality must be low’’ you’re thinking to yourself. Without any hesitation, you close all the tabs on your laptop in fear and repress this incident forever.

This is a natural reaction, but it's actually a misunderstanding. We are here today to rectify this false generalization about relating low prices to low quality. As a matter of fact, prices do not measure the quality of medical care in Turkey. So, why is the hair transplant in Turkey so cheap?

Low rates of hair transplant are due to many factors including low living costs and low taxes as compared to the U.S and European countries. These prices may sound cheap to international patients, but believe us, this is not the case for locals.

It's cheap for tourists only

A common mistake among people who justify low pricesbecause of poor quality is that they don’t take into account the costs of living in Turkey. For patients in the United States, the United Kingdom or Europe who earn their salaries in dollars, pounds or euros, Turkey costs less.

However, this is not reasonable for the average person living in Turkey. 2500 dollars could be affordable to you, but compared to the average salary in Turkey, it is not that cheap. This is the first rational reason which proves that quality is not associated with the low-cost hair transplant in Turkey.

Higher Demand Lower Prices

Turkey has many skilled surgeons in the field of cosmetic surgery and hair transplant who demonstrated very impressive work. Their results of hair transplant in Turkey before and after the operation has led international patients to exhibit a higher demand.

This high demand for cosmetics surgeries and hair restoration treatments make the prices drop automatically without compromising on the quality.

Low Costs of Living

When comparing the living costs, taxes and rental rates in Turkey to the U.S and Europe, we realize that Turkey is much cheaper. For instance, the rental prices of clinics and taxes in the United States is very expensive. This reflects on the high prices of cosmetic treatments.

But in Turkey, the rent of clinics and bills are not very expensive which makes them charge less. Even in some instances, famous doctors and hair transplant in Turkey best clinics own these clinics which is an additional advantage to patients.

Turkey Manufactures Locally Medical Equipment

This concept contributes to the low costs of health care and the prices of surgeries in Turkey. Turkey supports the domestic manufacture of all goods and products on imports. To underscore its support, Turkey sells imported goods and merchandise at a much higher rate than domestically produced goods.

In turn, this translates into consuming more of the local production and relying less on importing goods. As a result, it eliminates shipping, logistics, and customs costs from the final price determination stage. Which eventually leads the prices to fall.

For this reason, medical care in Turkey is much cheaper than in Europe and the United States.
