In our society we have many ways that people consider a person to be “successful.” Some common examples are having a lot of money, big house, nice cars, nice clothes, etc.“ To be honest that is troubling to me. We often compare what we have to others around us and because we have not kept up with the “whoever you want to name” somehow our lives are not successful. This comparison and idea of being a “successful” person was something for the longest time I used to struggle with. I would look at the people around me and wonder how come I am not successful like them.
