I write to inspire, I experiment to learn, I do because there is no “try”, I move to live.

When?

My story begins a year after I was married and had been working as a personal trainer for about 5 months. One day as I was getting ready to go to work my wife said to me, “You look kinda…Puffy.” I looked in the mirror and not only did I see what she meant by “Puffy” but I also saw a hypocrite staring back. I was telling my clients what exactly to eat, helping them develop healthy habits, and creating fitness programs that would guide them to their goals…all the while I was skipping workouts, eating fast food daily, and thought I knew it all. I had never been so wrong in my life. I realized that if I truly believed what I was teaching my clients that it would be manifest through my own attitude, body, and actions. I began to move more, to make changes, to learn more and then I applied it to my life until I found the balance. My determination to never be Puffy again, to help others be less Puffy or avoid it all together started that day, as i began to move.
Why?

Movement sustains life, it keeps waistlines slim, cholesterol down, endorphins up, and improves every aspect of your day-to-day. Momentum Fitness was created to provide you with the information you need to get moving, what classes are out there, new/fun/exciting things to try, and scientifically based facts to keep your workouts safe and make you smarter. I want to inspire you through stories in my life, through the lives of people around the world and help you understand Why exercise/movement/working out is essential to living.

I want to help everyone move more and enjoy it. I want you to reach your ideal and make the most of your limitless potential. You don’t need to be a gym rat/cardio queen/nutrition nut to have confidence in your body; what you need is Momentum. When you find your answer to the Why of exercise/movement/working out the movement begins and it builds with each tid-bit of information you gain, becomes stronger with each minute spent working toward your ideal until you realize that you have surpassed all self-imposed limits, broken through preconceived barriers and that Momentum has become so strong that it will carry you through out the rest of your life.
What?

I want Momentum Fitness to be accessible to everyone that moves; the marathoner, the house wife, the corporate exec, the budding talent, the wellness coordinator, the college freshman. I want to give you basic understanding of how your musculo-skeletal system works and what it means to you. I will provide workouts that fit into any time constraint and will get you to your goal as efficiently as possible. I will share stories of motivation, dedication, and desire to help you push through any plateau you come upon. I will give you tips about how to make fitness apart of your every day life.
