Preventive care begins with a healthy, holistic lifestyle. Exercise, nutrition, plenty of rest and time for fun are keys to a healthy, stress-free life. My training philosophy leads to positive physical changes inside and out: weight management and increased muscle tone, muscle strength and bone density; decreased blood pressure and cholesterol, and improved sleep.

My experience as a fitness professional began in 2000. I have since been a personal trainer and wellness and group fitness instructor at UCSD, The Salk Institute, SDSU and with my personal business client following. My philosophy evolved through education and more importantly by living the lifestyle. I will help you create a program that gives you amazing results you desire. Working one-on-one with you, I will individualize training methods designed to reach your personal goals, challenging you within your boundaries. I am a technician of body mechanics with utmost attention to proper form, technique and safety. Workouts are designed to be effective, challenging and exciting. I will educate you about proper nutritional habits to help you maximize energy and manage weight. I will guide you toward a basic, whole foods way of eating that allows you to feel energetic and satiated. Cooking and nutrition are my passions and I enjoy sharing current research and original recipes with others!

Brenna is amazing! I've always appreciated her attentiveness as a trainer. She listened and customized training sessions to help me meet my goals - whether it was building strength for my next half marathon or slimming and toning my arms for my wedding day. Her sessions are effective and challenging, but always super fun and different! She's encouraging and easy to talk to - we usually bond over food talk; she knows some great healthy recipes and has many smart, yet satisfying snack recommendations! Ultimately, Brenna has helped me become a better athlete, by teaching me how to train smart and eat smarter. I highly recommend Brenna.

I have taken Brenna's classes for many years and I have enjoyed her classes and personality tremendously. Among the many teachers I have had during the course of more than 10 years, she is one of the most talented teacher I have had. Her class is fun, with a variety of great exercise for the entire body. She is detailed-oriented, serious and passionate and a very likable person. I highly recommend Brenna.
