Frederick S. Foster, CCS, CPT, CPRHS, CFI has been a successful fitness professional, wellness workshop leader and motivational speaker, first in South Florida and now in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, for over two decades. Prior to pursuing his entrepreneurial dream, Mr. Foster served as the Head Sergeant and General Manger of The Sergeant’s Program where he was responsible for the overall planning, development and direction of the nation’s oldest and largest military style fitness consulting company. Mr. Foster grew up in New York City and graduated from Xavier High School where he was a four sport athlete and rose to the rank of captain in the JROTC Program. After the season, he received All-League and All-City honors and was awarded a football scholarship to the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. While at Miami, he earned the nickname “The Hammer” for his aggressive play at the strong safety position and again participated in the rebirth of a football program, as the Hurricanes played in two bowl games, were nationally ranked at end of the season three times and rose from perennial doormat to the very top of the college football world. Finally in his senior year, they won their final eleven games and secured the school’s first national championship with a thrilling 31-30 victory over the University of Nebraska in the 1984 Orange Bowl. Since his college days, Fred has remained an active competitor. He has completed over one hundred road races including five Marine Corps Marathons as well as the 1995 Boston Marathon.
